What do Crab Cakes, Kebabs and Chicken Nuggets have in common?

If you’ve made your way to the blog, then you are in for a treat!

The secret to this effortless meal is something you probably already have sitting in your fridge…shredded chicken. Yes, this is an epic meal that can be made from leftovers or completely from scratch.

I like to batch cook and keep easy pre-made meals in the freezer, so I opted to make a whole chicken shredded it and make several batches with different seasoning options to try it out! Cook them freeze them and reheat when ready to enjoy.

Base Recipe:

1 C shredded Verdant Acres Chicken

1 C Shredded Farmstead of Cheddar Cheese, we used raw organic.

1 Pasture Raised Egg

1 TBS of seasoning* See notes below

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high powered blender and pulse until it’s the consistency of canned tuna. Not mushy or pasty, the chicken will still be solid just much smaller chunks.

Make equal sized balls and flatten into patties, bake at 400F for 20-25 min flipping half way through cooking.

*Crab Cakes: 1TBS old bay seasoning + pinch of salt

*Kebabs: 1TBS Zatar seasoning + pinch of salt

*Chicken Nuggets: season with 1.5 tsp salt, 1 tsp minced garlic or garlic powder, cracked black pepper.
